The car company Volkswagen uncovered a corporate scandal to reduce pollution emissions during the trial and the organization's share price plummeted 40% in 2 weeks. The United States Environmental Protection Agency issued a notice to the Volkswagen Group for violations of the Clean Air Act.

What has Volkswagen done?
Volkswagen has fooled emissions testing compared to how much it pollutes its cars. The US Environmental Protection Agency has found that 482,000 VW diesel cars are 40 times more toxic than those plying on US roads, and Volkswagen has confirmed that the scam affects 1.1 million vehicles worldwide. They are equipped with defeat device software in the engine management system on modern Volkswagen 2.0 liter engines that can switch to pollution control upon car detection. They then spiral out of control when the car is on the road allowing it to cause damage - full air pollution (40 times more)

How did they do it?
VW's "defeat device" is not a physical device, but a program in the engine
Software that can read steering wheel position, tire rotation atmospheric
Pressure, the duration of the engine to determine whether the car was on or off the road
Emission testing.

The software has been updated to accommodate parts such as diesel engines or valves.

How was the scam exposed?
International Council for Clean Transport (ICCT) An NGO operates separately
Road vehicle testing they do their work on the Volkswagen Passat,
Volkswagen Jetta and a BMW X5. The test performed on Volkswagen
Vehicle was very poor by organization expectations and norms
(ICCT) conducted more tests and contacted the report with environmental protection
Agency.

Ethical issues
1.Company social responsibility to produce environmentally friendly product.
2.It is the duty of the organization to maintain law and order while doing business.
3.Customers have the right to be fully aware of the equipment that they are equipped with.
4.Any brand is expected to deliver on the promises made to customers.
.The reliability of software technologies was degraded.

The ethical principle applied for this is that compliance with all business ethical standards is the ethical and social responsibility.
